Although this group is young in an official sense, it is by no means new- the fae fill the role of the stewards of the land, maintaining the balance of nature. By extension, the Thicket has developed to protect the land from the settlers of Odelia- hoping to bring balance between the citizens of the city (and its surrounding villages), and the wild spaces of the forest and marshlands. There is, however, always a lurking desire to see the entire island returned to wilderness, and on some nights, known as Mischief Nights, they seek to reclaim sections of the farm land, or villages, or coast line, as wild territory.
